Wow!  What an amazing day Sports Day we all had on Thursday.  The weather was glorious and the children were fantastic during both the morning round-robin events and also the competitive events in the afternoon.

 

The morning events are a real chance for the children to work in their house teams to earn points by completing a variety of activities such as; jump-for-points; run through a tunnel; hockey skills; football skills; throwing skills and hurdles.  As you will see from the photos the children loved these events.

 

In the afternoon we were then joined by most of our parents who enjoyed the flat races; the Hare and Hound; house relays; various long distances races and the fitting ‘water race.’  Our overall winning house team was Sapphire led by Harry Holland.

 

A huge thank you too for the PTFA who sold strawberries and Cream and ice-lollies.  They work extremely hard for our school and children and we are very grateful for their support.
