We were very lucky to be visited by Yazzy this afternoon.  She is a 19 year old singer/songwriter based in North Devon. Since the age of 10 she has performed, gigged and recorded her own material. Untraditionally, to many young artists trying to find their way in the music industry, she did not attend a music college or go to university. Though she dreamed of attending a music school in London, such as the Brit School, it was important for her to be surrounded and supported by family and she used social media to share her music in not only Devon but to anywhere else that will listen, this has allowed her to gig all across the UK as a support act for more established artists and for her own gigs. Half Lioness, Half Songbird she has always dreamt of becoming a well known singer/songwriter and for her music to leave a lasting impression on the listener and make them feel something.

The children loved listening to her perform today and I am sure her visit will inspire some of them to pursue a musical hobby also.
